Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Accessible Transport Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their transport operations.  

Position: Accessible Transport Officer
Rate: £24 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension
Working Pattern: Fully Remote (36 hour per week) 

Key Responsibilities:

• This role is to deliver services for accessible transport requests via multiple channels including telephone, email, face to face and online service, adapting the service to the needs of the resident. Ensuring digital inclusion and assisted support to complete applications and signpost or advise.
• Aiming to provide an efficient and accurate service and deliver the best outcome where possible for the resident when managing all service requests for accessible transport services.
• To co-ordinate the delivery of blue badges when not sent directly to the applicant, to liaise with the Department of Transport where required and use of the appropriate digital platform to complete the process after the application is received.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Accessible Transport Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• Educated to 5 GCSE Grade C standard including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications / experience.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of blue badge, freedom pass and taxi-card legislation
• Proven ability to interpret medical evidence to assess eligibility for transport services.
• Ability to assist residents with complex needs or hidden disabilities.
