Position: People Partner
Salary: £45k

The People Partner supports the Director of People in building a brilliant workplace culture and a robust people function. Acting as a strategic partner, the role works with managers to drive organizational culture, enhance management capability, and implement strategic people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the organization and its sector to deliver effective HR solutions.
• Translate strategic objectives into operational plans.
• Build trusted relationships with managers and lead cultural change programs.
• Provide guidance on strategic people management issues.
• Create and implement key HR performance metrics and dashboards.
• Enhance the HR Information System (Breathe) and integrate HR processes with finance functions.
• Develop efficient processes for TOIL, absence management, and other transactional HR activities.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and best practices.
• Support employee relations, including handling grievances and disciplinary cases.
• Collaborate with union representatives to ensure respectful employee relations.
• Lead performance management initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Create and execute a learning and development plan in line with organizational needs.
• Improve onboarding and induction processes.
• Deliver training on key people-related topics.
• Review workforce plans and recruitment strategies regularly.
• Identify and attract top talent to meet organizational goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Trustees and Senior Leadership.
• Demonstrate leadership in managing the People and Culture function.
• Stay updated on charity sector trends and maintain CIPD registration.

• Proven experience managing complex, mixed-use development projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management for construction and development schemes.
• Expertise in handover processes and embedding efficient systems.
• Skilled in negotiation across project stages.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement processes.

• Essential: Degree in construction, development, or regeneration, or significant relevant experience (minimum 3 years).
• Desirable: Membership in a professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
