Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Wellbeing and Safeguarding Counsellor to join their team based in London

PAY RATE: £36,000

JOB SUMMARY
The Wellbeing and Safeguarding Counsellor will be responsible for providing a therapeutic response engaging women and girl survivors where there are concerns for her safety and well-being.
  
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Induction training programme which includes the different types of sexual violence
• Provide therapeutic support to a caseload of young women and girls where there are concerns for their safety and wellbeing

  
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Diploma or higher-level qualification in counselling/psychotherapy
• Registered with registered body 
• Minimum 150 hours of post-qualification provision of therapeutic support to children and young people
• Experience of a range of therapeutic methods and techniques to enable children to fully engage in the therapeutic process including working with risk issues
• Experience of working with survivors of sexual violence
