PAY RATE: £32 - £33 Per Hour

JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Manager is in day-to-day charge of the regulated activity or activities you are registered for and must ensure that people who use services have their needs met
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- To gain and maintain the required CQC registration to manage the service.
• To provide strong leadership to the staff team, demonstrating and setting high standards of personal and professional behaviour to promote a culture of professionalism.
• To understand legislative and organisational requirements for the service, communicate this to the team and achieve a quality of service that meets or exceeds expectations.
• To proactively manage risk, to safeguard people living, working and visiting the service, ensuring documentation supports any action taken.
• To ensure effective deployment of staff, with appropriate up to date qualifications, experience and training, to meet the demands of the service.
• To manage and lead a robust recruitment and induction process, ensuring new staff confirmed in post meet organisational expectations.
• To ensure policies, procedures and ways of working are up to date and meet legislative and organisational requirements, communicate requirements to staff and ensure they work to them
• To ensure staff have effective support and supervision and their appraisal is in line with Council policies, ensuring business plan objectives are included in appraisal targets.
• To promote and lead a no blame, supportive culture, which is open and transparent, encouraging reflection and learning from experience.
• To confidently use performance management procedures to challenge poor performance and demonstrate to people that meet the expectations of their job role that they are valued for their contribution.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
- Experience managing a registered service with proven published achievements, consistently meeting or exceeding inspection requirements
- Significant experience in a health and social care environment with management experience in residential care.
