Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local Authority in North London  are looking for a Maintenance Surveyor 

Position: Maintenace Surveyor
Location: Maryport
Duration: 3 Months with a possible extension. (Sickness Cover)
Hours: 36 Hours Per week
Rate: £21.00 Umbrella

Purpose of the Role: 

• To support the development of Public Law with Team Leaders and Service Managers within this London Council.
  

Key Responablities:

• Conduct property inspections to identify defects, disrepair, and potential hazards.
• Diagnose building issues, such as damp, structural problems, or faulty installations.
• Specify and schedule repair works, including preparing detailed work orders and scopes of work.
• Liaise with contractors, ensuring that repairs are carried out effectively, on time, and within budget.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure that repairs meet regulatory and safety standards.
• Provide technical advice to tenants, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, housing regulations, and building codes.
• Manage cyclical and planned maintenance programmes, including budgeting and contractor performance.
• Use asset management systems to update property condition data and schedule future works.
• Investigate complaints or insurance claims relating to property damage or maintenance failur

Essential skills required:

• Building surveying experience including property condition and dilapidation surveys and specifying remedial works.
• Hold a Building Surveying qualification HND, HNC or Degree Legel.
• Ideally hold a RICS, CIOB professional registration or working towards this.
• A vehicle insured for business purposes. Current knowledge of building repairs, construction as well as CD roles and responsibility.
• Able to manage, control budget expenditure.
• Driving Licence and access to vechile with business insurance.
• Standard DBS required.
