JOB DETAILS

• PAY RATE: £34 - £36 per hour
• WORK TYPE: Temporary

JOB SUMMARY
The Quality & Reviewing Leader is responsible to demonstrate and provide leadership across the entire Children’s Services Department and externally to the wider multi agency partnership. QILs should be an authoritative professional with at least equivalent status to an experienced children’s social work team manager as stated in Statutory Guidance (IRO handbook).

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Leading on providing quality assurance and improvement challenge that enables children’s social care teams and partner agencies to improve the quality and effectiveness of their practice including direct work with children and young people
• A caseload of 50 to 70 looked after children and young people ensuring good practice in the delivery of a quality service
• To place children and their needs at the heart of the work, managing risk in the child protection arena and for children in our care and promoting the effective engagement of children and young people in planning, delivering and improving services

   

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Qualified / registered social worker with the Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualifying experience and evidence of continued professional study relevant to the post since qualification
• Understanding of and commitment to the Council’s equal opportunities policies and ability to put into practice in the context of this post.
