Temporary or Permanent: Temporary

Location: Croydon
Office Based/Hybrid: TBC
Rate of Pay (Umbrella and Inside IR35): £711 per day

Job Purpose:
As a member of the extended management team, the Head of Responsive Repairs will work collaboratively across the division and with other Heads of Service and directors to ensure the effective and efficient development and delivery of council services that support divisional and council objectives.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• To be the professional lead for all aspects of housing repairs and maintenance, which includes:- repairs and maintenance (HRA)- Disrepair- Damp & Mould- Voids
• Manage services within defined budgets, working to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Improve the efficiency of repair services through KPI monitoring, contract management, operational data, and resident feedback
• Managing the contractor relationship at an operational level to ensure that KPIs are being met, improvement plans are made and implemented and customer service is at the heart of the service.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a Head of Repairs and Maintenance or equivalent.
• Strong experience of effectively managing large contracts and contractors within either the public or private sector
• A Level 5 Certificate or Diploma in Housing, or a foundation degree from the Chartered Institute of Housing or a willingness and ability to work towards obtaining this qualification.
• Membership in a relevant professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• Project Management training such as Prince2 or Project Management Professional certification.
• Health and Safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH or IOSH
