Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Essex, are looking for an experienced Finance Processing Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their finance operations.      

Position: Operations Manager - Gas Planning
Rate: £28.21 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2026) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Property Services is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal clients and additionally a small number of external clients.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Lead the national planning team on operational delivery of gas compliance servicing and repairs, ensuring services are delivered in line with regulatory requirements, KPIs, and SLAs, while maintaining a high-quality, cost-effective and customer-focused approach.
• Manage the resolution of service failures and customer complaints related to gas compliance and repairs, ensuring timely investigations, clear communication, and appropriate corrective actions.
• Develop and implement robust planning systems and operational processes to proactively identify and resolve service delivery issues, using data-driven insights and innovative thinking to drive continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Operations Manager - Gas Planning role or equivalent.
• Recent experience in a similar role managing planning and scheduling functions within a gas compliance or property maintenance environment.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
