Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Hampshire, are looking for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their inspections and plan checking operations.      

Position: Building Control Surveyor
Rate: £518 per day (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract: Temporary (November 2025) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• Apply Building regulation requirements and associated legislation to a range of projects in order to ensure a safe accessible and sustainable built environment.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To carry out site inspections for compliance with appropriate regulatory and policy standards.
• To be competent in applying current building regulations (Approved Documents) in order to ensure appropriate standards on construction sites, and also keeping abreast of any changes to technical requirements.
• To maintain inspection records, prepare reports, attend meetings, prepare and give evidence, as necessary, in an efficient and accurate manner, using computerised systems, as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Building Control Surveyor role or equivalent.
• Registered with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2.
• Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Building Studies or Equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
