Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Law Firm based in Halifax, are looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their team and play a crucial role in their civil cases operations.      

Position: Civil Litigation Solicitor
Salary: Negotiable (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract: Permanent 

Purpose:

• Dealing with debt recovery, consumer rights, contract breach, misrepresentation, nuisance, possession notices and enforcement, employment, drafting court forms, issuing proceedings, preparing bundles and instructions to counsel.

Job Responsibilities: 

• • Taking client instructions and providing legal advice and assistance.
• Where appropriate, running a caseload of client matters in accordance with Quality Procedures Manual, SRA Code, LAA Contract, Lexcel, CQS and SQM requirements.
• Representing clients at court.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year PQ experience within a Civil Litigation Solicitor role or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills, good advocacy, literate and numerate.
• Qualified Solicitor with a sound understanding of areas of Law within their department, Confidentiality requirements.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
