Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in South London, are looking for an experienced Director of Housing Assets to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing assets operations.      

Position: Director of Housing Assets
Rate: £939 per day (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract: Temporary (4 Months) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• The Director of Housing – Assets will work collaboratively with other directors, corporate directors and the chief executive to deliver the Mayor’s Business Plan, and the Housing Transformation Programme.
• This role will also directly be accountable for the delivery of the HRA Business Plan.

Job Responsibilities: 

• The post holder will be the professional lead for the continuous improvement and development of the responsive repairs service for Croydon Council tenants and leaseholders.
• Will lead the division charged with accountability for the effective planning of the Housing Asset Management strategy, capital delivery and the Building Safety and Compliance teams responsible for the safety of and compliance of our assets.
• Asset investment planning, capital delivery, building and fire safety, compliance with Health and Safety of our assets (the big 6). Leading the housing repairs, damp and mould case management and disrepair cases.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Director of Housing Assets role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
