Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Coalville, are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their building maintenance operations.       

Position: Building Surveyor
Rate: £29 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• To act as senior professional and technical advisor within the Responsive Repairs, Voids and Minor Works Team for all aspects of delivery of the council’s work to its domestic rented portfolio in accordance with the consumer standards.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Carry out measured surveys and compile information to assist with the preparation of specifications, orders and other contract documents.
• To manage a programme of stock condition surveys, Asset Registers and Life Cycle Cost Plans upon the Council housing stock, compiling the data and ensuing stock is maintained to a high standard, repairs are identified and managed and housing related issues are reported.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and feasibility reports and provide reports to the Responsive Repairs, Voids and Minor Works Team Manager as and when requested.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Building Surveyor role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
