Job Role: Technical Officer
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: Until March 2026 (Possible Extension)
Location: Brent
Rate of Pay: £25 p/h umbrella inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

• To prepare and present high quality reports, documents and feedback as required for internal use, Committees, Sub-Committees, working groups, customers, staff, partners, etc.
• To undertake visits, inspections, sampling and investigations on commercial and domestic land and buildings. This will require a degree of agility as it may include climbing stairs and ladders and entering areas with awkward access.
• To undertake administrative tasks using the electronic and manual systems provided. This will include telephoning clients, filing, updating and retrieving information from electronic records, drafting correspondence, etc.
• Carry out duties with due regard to the Council’s Customer Care, Equal Opportunities, Information Governance, Data Protection and Health and Safety policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a Technical Officer or equivalent.
• Have a further education qualification in a science based subject with substantial relevance to at least one broad area of Regulatory Services.
• Manage and prioritise, with minimal intervention, a demanding personal workload, consistently achieving competing individual work objectives, standards and performance.
• Experience of undertaking investigations, inspections, data analysis and documentation reviews.
• Experience in and a good understanding of office IT applications, including databases, word processors, spreadsheets and the internet
