Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Housing Needs Operational Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing services operations.      

Position: Housing Needs Operational Manager
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract: Temporary (12-13 Months) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• Apply Building regulation requirements and associated legislation to a range of projects in order to ensure a safe accessible and sustainable built environment.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Direct line management for up to 6 staff and 27 indirect reports, responsible for delivery of a homeless service in line with prevailing legislation, case law, council policy and priorities
• Maximising prevention of homelessness outcomes and avoiding the use of expensive temporary accommodation/Bed & Breakfast costs.
• Effective assessment and homelessness investigative service to ensure the Council complies with legislation and minimise successful legal challenges.
• Acquisition of sufficient supply of emergency, temporary and settled accommodation to meet demand.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Housing Needs Operational Manager role or equivalent.
• Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the service delivery, service development, Government Policy, Legislative frameworks and key issues, including equalities issues, relevant to the services managed.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
