Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Harrow. Are looking for a Infrastructure Technician to join their organisation.

Job Role: Infrastructure Technician
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date (if Temporary): 3-6 months (possible extension)
Location: Harrow
Office Based/Hybrid: Hybrid (based in Harrow every Monday and at least one additional day per week – this is non-negotiable)
Rate of Pay: £250 a day umbrella inside IR35
 

Purpose:
To provide technical support to the Traffic and Highways Asset team within Environment and Enterprise, enabling the team to achieve high service standards designed to improve the quality of life for Harrow residents and customers

Key Responsibilities:

• To prepare detailed drawings, maps, stat drawings, estimates, designs and technical reports across a range of specialist engineering areas and to a a high standard for for approval
• Carry out public consultation exercises for projects and schemes to ensure the production of fit for purpose design specifications
• Develop, implement and administer systems for the collection, retrieval and archiving of records, data and other information essential for service delivery
• Assist with the preparation of cases for use in legal proceedings for any legal challenge or complaint in the post holder’s area of work

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a Infrastructure Technician role or equivalent.
• Proficiency in CAD and GIS
• Experience in traffic and parking design, particularly with disabled persons’ parking schemes, CPZs, and other parking-related projects
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle
• Willingness to attend occasional evening and weekend site visits, meetings, and public events
