Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northampton, are looking for an experienced Development and Acquisitions Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their property services operations.   

Position: Development and Acquisitions Officer
Rate: £25-35 per hour DOE (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  

Job Responsibilities: 

• To work in partnership with planners, legal services, procurement, Housing Solutions, Tenancy Services, housing associations, private developers, estate agents and other agencies to provide a range of affordable housing to meet identified needs and priorities via new build development, section 106 agreements, open market purchase or other means.
• To assist with the disposal of properties on the open market that the Council no longer has a need for.
• To assist in the project management of new build council housing projects from inception through to practical completion and the end of the defects period.

Personal Specification:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Development and Acquisitions Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• HND or equivalent experience in a housing services or development environment.
