Job Role: Housing Officer
Temporary or Permanent: Temporary
Possible End Date: 3 months
Location: Crawley
Office Based/Hybrid: Office Based
DBS Required: Basic
Rate of Pay: £18.29
Short Brief/Requirement:
Key duties are around income management & arrears recovery 
To help people maintain rent payments by:

• Rent account monitoring
• Liaison with Housing Benefit, DWP and the Jobcentre
• Provision of income maximisation and money advice, debt counselling and referral to specialist
• Home visits and telephone contact

Key Responsibilities:
This is a generic Housing Officer post covering all the key areas of housing management.

Key duties include income management & arrears recovery, letting void properties & all aspects of estate and tenancy management.

The housing management team will work as one team covering workload priorities as directed by the Area Housing Managers

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience within a Housing Officer role or equivalent.
• Full and current UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits, universal credit and housing benefit
• Working knowledge of the Housing Act 1985 and 1996 and other relevant legislation.
