Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Damp and Disrepair Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their disrepair operations.    

Position: Damp and Disrepair Manager
Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (December 2025) with Possible Extension  

Job Responsibilities: 

• Supporting the Head of Service and other managers in leading teams that deal with complaints, disrepair and damp and mould issues, including housing condition cases brought against the authority in partnership with the legal services.
• Supporting with the managing and leading of the damp and mould and disrepair teams to ensure all claims and legislative issues within Repairs and Maintenance are successfully investigated and completed without delay and in accordance with prescribed timescales.
• Accountable for ensuring delivery of high-quality work, getting work done “right-first-time” and achieving high customer satisfaction within budgetary targets whilst providing cost effective and value for money services in order to resolve any confirmed defects.

Personal Specification:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Damp and Disrepair Manager role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
