Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Manufacturer, who are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Auditor to join their team based in the Hartsville, SC area.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Creates or updates flowcharts, narratives, and walkthroughs to record a thorough grasp of the company's present business processes.
• Helps the manager or senior internal auditor customize audit methods to achieve audit goals by identifying risks and internal controls.
• Gathers and assesses data via investigations, tests, evaluations, and observations in order to draw judgments regarding risks and the architecture and functionality of internal controls, such as internal controls over financial reporting (SOX).
• Helps the manager or senior internal auditor write audit reports and discuss the findings and suggestions for improvement and/or remediation with management.
• Creates working documents to record the data gathered, the analysis performed, and the evidence supporting the audit's findings.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a similar discipline.
• With a combination of industry and/or public accounting experience, you have two to four years of experience.
• You have proven that you understand financial accounting, GAAP, and auditing methods and procedures.
• It is preferred if you have auditing experience in an Oracle setting.
• You possess knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (SOX) requirements, and it is necessary to have previous experience conducting SOX audits.
• You are a certified public accountant; while not necessary, CIA is strongly advised.
