Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Leicestershire, are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join their team and play a crucial role in their repairs and maintenance operations.     

Position: Carpenter
Rate: £19.96 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• To carry out repairs and maintenance work to a variety of Council properties within the borough. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• To undertake all works to the required standard in accordance with current regulations and following manufacturer’s instructions.
• To effectively contribute to the provision of accurate records for time, SOR’s and materials to each works order with the use of a smart phone device (PDA).
• To liaise with the Asset Management Support Team to ensure job activities are scheduled effectively.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a Carpenter role or equivalent.
• Hold an NVQ/ City in Guilds or an equivalent industry recognised certificate in carpentry, or have approximately 3 years of experience.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
