Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join their team based in London.

• PAY RATE: £15 -£17 per hour
• WORK TYPE: Temporary
• WORK PATTERN: Full Time
• LOCATION:  London  

JOB SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist Assistant working within Moving and Handling, completing 5 assessments per week. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:  

• Manage your own diary and will be working from both home and the office except for the time when you need to visit clients in their homes. You will be able to be flexible with your working hours with agreement
• Provide functional assessments of needs and environmental assessments in clients' homes and support qualified OTs with moving and handling assessments, reviews and follow up visits where appropriate. You can work from home and will be expected to attend team meetings in person as and when required in the office

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Moving and handling qualification/certificate required
• Good working knowledge of minor OT equipment
• Some knowledge of adaptations is advantageous
• Specifically minor adaptation experience is advantageous
• At least 2 years experience in social care setting.
