Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northeast London, are looking for an experienced Lawyer to join their team and play a crucial role in their children's services operations.    

Position: Lawyer - Adult Social Care
Rate: Dependant on Experience (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (October 2025) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• To undertake advocacy on behalf of the Council in courts and tribunals, where this is part of the work of the team.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To draft complex reports and legal documentation.
• To provide clear, consistent and accurate legal advice to clients in the Council’s services.
• To manage a caseload of routine and non-routine legal matters with minimum supervision.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Lawyer role or equivalent.
• Qualified solicitor or barrister (Supreme Court of England and
  Wales/English Bar) or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
