Job Role: Telecare Assessor Installer
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: 6 months (possible extension)
Location: Hounslow
DBS Required: Basic DBS required
Rate of Pay: £21.23 p/h umbrella
Office Based/Hybrid: Working from the Linkline Office, with much travel to and from clients. No Hybrid working. Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 5:00pm, 48 minutes for lunch. Total hours per week x36


Short Brief:
Looking for an experienced telecare assessor installer – familiar with digital alarm technology, can assess and recommend alarms and peripherals. Able to communicate effectively as will need to be able to demonstrate the device(s). Experience of fault diagnosis, maintenance and repair -troubleshooting. Disconnection and removal of equipment. Excellent record keeping and communication.


Key Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for completing Telecare assessments in the community and identify creative solutions including the provision of Telecare and standalone assistive technologies to enable services users to remain in their own homes according to their wishes; and to promote independence, choice and wellbeing
• To instruct clients on how to use the equipment to summon assistance from the Linkline Service, explain any additional peripherals and their functions and carry outall necessary administration work, referrals in support of their role or to assist the client
• To have strong organisational, problem solving, IT and report writing skills will be essential in assessing service users’ needs and producing comprehensive reports. You will need to be skilled at prioritising and screening new referrals, by working closely with the Business Support Team and the Linkline Officers.
• To work with adult social services to promote the Telecare service and a champion for Telecare and assist with complex cases, assist with just checking cases for Telecare service in liaison with social service.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a Telecare Assessor Installer role or equivalent.
• Basic DBS
• Own vehicle that is Ulez compliant.
