Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in South East London are looking for an experienced Communications Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Transport Portfolio.

Position: Communications Officer (Transport)
Location: South East London
Salary: £27.72 p/h umbrella
Hours: Monday - Friday / 9:00am - 5:00pm 
Contract: 3 months possible extension 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support internal and external communication campaigns, including social media, web articles, press engagement, and creative content.
• Produce high-quality and engaging content for written and digital media.
• Collate, write and edit compelling news articles for colleagues, Members, and residents.
• Monitor, respond, and update social media channels with dynamic and appropriate content.
• Uphold and enhance standards of accessibility, clarity, and brand identity, ensuring a consistent and impactful communication approach.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years experience within a Communications role or an equivalent role.
• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• A relevant qualification/degree in communications or marketing.
