Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority based in East London, are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

Position: Project Manager
Salary: ££38.76 Umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Location: East London

Purpose:

• My client is looking for an experienced project manager to support their Democratic Services team.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Working with our dedicated staff you will coordinate several key projects, including:
• Organising Civic Awards judging and ceremony.
• Coordinating induction and training for elected members.
• Lead of increasing voter turnout and participatory for the Local and Mayoral Elections in May 2026.
• Support to committee services, including helping to organise our Annual Council meeting in May.

Experience and qualifications required:

• Candidates should have been trained in the PRINCE2 project management methodology to Practitioner level or similar qualification.
• An understanding of Local Government an advantage.
• An understanding of the political context and environment.
• Experience of successful project management at a senior level in a complex organisational environment.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with individuals and organisations within and outside the council
