Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Bristol are looking for an experienced Marketing Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Culture & Events operations.

Position: Marketing & Communications Officer
Location: Bristol
Salary: £22 p/h umbrella 
Contract: Until September 2025

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring that the culture and event activities developed meet the following aims:

• To attract additional footfall
• Create local distinctiveness and activate and animate the selected high streets through a programme of activities that not only captures passing trade, but also attracts additional footfall and increases the well time.
• To advance diversity, equality and inclusion for all Bristol’s citizens
  Deliver cultural projects or events that are inclusive, diverse, and easy to access that celebrate and engage with communities, businesses and stakeholders.
• To invest in the culture and events sector
• Increase paid employment opportunities for creative practitioners, artists, and event professionals.
• To address environmental sustainability, climate and ecological emergency
• Embed environmental sustainability and climate and ecological emergency priorities, raising awareness and addressing priorities through the proposed projects and activities.

Job Requirements

• Postholders must be willing and able to work flexibly over a seven day per week operation, Sunday working will be a requirement.
• At least 2 years experience within a Marketing/Communications role or equivalent.
• 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths grade C or equivalent ).
• A relevant qualification in Marketing/Communications.
