Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority based in East London , are looking for an experienced Commerical Surveyor to join their team.

Position: Interim Commerical Surveyor
Salary: £500.00
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Location: East London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working opportunities

Purpose:

• To be able to provide the broad range of skills required to manage the Council owned mixed-use commercial property portfolio, including rent reviews and lease renewals, tenant applications to assign, sublet and alter, requests for Deeds of Variations and the coordination of dilapidations. To assist with managing the Council’s commercial operational properties.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Promote the HEART values of the Council – Honesty, Equality, Ambition, Respect and Together.
• Be aware of the Council’s priorities and assist in how these are reflected in the management of the commercial portfolio.
• Courteous and proactive tenant engagement to ensure a fair outcome of all matters for all parties.
• To be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• Provide high-level professional property advice in accordance with the best-practice standards of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
• To be responsible for implementing the Council’s property asset management policies.
• Lead on negotiations with and the management of community and voluntary sector (CVS) occupiers.
• Lead on enquiries from Elected Members relating to the CVS sector to ensure all stake-holders views are listened to, professionally and courteously evaluated, and to provide recommendations in accordance with the Council’s priorities

Experience 

• All aspects of commercial property estate management.
• Detailed knowledge and Landlord and Tenant legislation.
• Member of Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in the commercial real estate, corporate real estate or valuations pathways.
• Demonstrable experience in managing a large mixed-use commercial property portfolio
• Experince in managing tenants frm the community and voluntary sector.
