Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Hampshire, are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their accounts payable operations.   

Position: Accounts Payable Officer
Rate: £18.22 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (September 2025) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• To undertake all aspects of the Accounts Payable activity as part of the Accounts Payable and Client Monies team.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To process invoices ensuring timely and accurate payment of legitimate invoices.
• To process all residential, nursing, block and domiciliary payments as per agreed contracts including making direct payments and auto payments.
• Raising invoices as required.
• Handling the recovery of any overpayments.
• Assisting with year-end and final accounts activity.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Accounts Payable Officer role or equivalent.
• GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above or equivalent qualifications.
• Excellent level of IT literacy to be able to use self-service, digital user platforms and applications and MS Office.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
