Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries for lawyers’ reference.
• Draft, review, and proofread legal documents and contracts in English and Japanese to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in preparing and filing legal documents and submissions to relevant authorities.
• Maintain and organize case files, contracts, and document management systems.
• Liaise with clients, external counsel, and government bodies when required.
• Track case timelines, hearing dates, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
• Support lawyers in corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
• Assist with KYC processes and client onboarding documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management tools.
• Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
