Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Newham. Are looking for a HGV Driver to join their organisation.

Job Role: HGV Driver (Refuse)
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: 3 months (possible extension)
Number of Positions: 3 positions available
Location: Newham
Short Brief/Requirement: PM shift 2pm until 10pm Monday to Friday.
Driving Licence Required: Yes
Vehicle Access Required: No, vehicle provided
Rate of Pay: £18.33 p/h umbrella


Key Responsibilities:

• Collect clinical waste from various healthcare facilities, including care homes and hospitals.
• Prepare the small base truck for daily operations
• Utilise a compaction vehicle for waste disposal.
• Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pick-up mechanism.
• Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.
• Maintain physical fitness, as the role involves some heavy lifting.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a HGV Driver role or equivalent.
• Hold a full UK licence
