Position: House Management Officer Contract period: 7 months Work location: Kowloon Working hours:
In general, five 9-hour service per week from Monday to Sunday. The service calls will normally be arranged between 09:00 and 24:00 subject to operational needs.
To serve as House Management Officer to liaise with hirers on performance arrangements and booking requirements. To coordinate with technical sections and Front of House to provide the required facilities and services for each booking, and ensure compliance with house rules and statutory obligations. To keep track of the changes of events, process the related paperwork and issue operational instructions to all relevant teams:
To serve as Duty Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily venue operations including overseeing the running of performances, audience admission of auditorium and activities in minor venues. and handling public enquiries, complaints and emergency situations. To enforce all regulations and house rules of the venue;
To serve as subject officer to liaise with hirers on arrangements for the exhibitions held at Exhibition Gallery. To coordinate with technical sections and Front of House to provide the required services;
To provide administrative support to the Booking Section and assist in compiling venue booking statistics as well as processing rental refund; and
To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
Qualifications Requirements:
Be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and lawfully employable in Hong Kong,
Have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent (major in Arts / Cultural & Heritage / Communications is an advantage);
Met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 [Note] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE , or equivalent;
Have at least (5) years' full-time post-qualification work experience in the field of operational/venue/event management in the arts performance, entertainment or event-organising business or at cultural organisations (work experience at LCSD performing arts venues is an advantage); and
Have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and speak fluent Cantonese.
