Position:                     Operation Service Assistant - STTH/DPA/008/2025

Working Location: 1. Tai Po Civic Centre - 12 On Pong Road, New Territories (Primary service location)

1. Sha Tin Town Hall - 1 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin, New Territories
2. North District Town Hall - 2 Lung Wan Street, Sheung Shui, New Territories

Salary:                       HK$72.00 per hour
Working hours:          At least 45 net working hours (exclusive of meal breaks) in 6 days per week, normally between 0800 to 2300 hours.

Duties:
Venue Setup and Restoration

• Set up and restore exhibition panels, chairs, tables, and other equipment in auditoriums, theatres, function rooms, and reception areas according to hirers' specific layouts.
• Perform manual lifting, transportation, and setup of furniture and equipment as required for venue operations.
• Restore venues to an empty room status after events.

1. Front-of-House Services

• Set up queuing systems with stanchions and belts for event admissions and public activities.
• Assist in conducting noise measurements for outdoor events.
• Support the enquiry counter, put up daily event notices, and maintain tidy leaflet racks with updated promotional materials.
• Perform ushering, admission, and crowd control duties during events.
• Conduct routine patrols, report any irregularities or issues to venue management.

1. Logistics and Delivery Support

• Provide logistical support for the packing and delivery of promotional materials (leaflets, brochures) within the cluster of venues.
• Collect and deliver documents from LCSD Headquarters and other venues as required.
• Collect monthly store items from the Government warehouse in Kwai Chung using department pool cars.
• Handle bulk delivery of correspondence to the post office and deliver documents/publicity materials to outdoor locations.

 
Qualifications Requirements:
 
 Permanent Resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and lawfully employable in Hong Kong.

• Physically fit to handle manual labour and lifting tasks.
• Able to read instructions in Chinese and simple English; speak fluent Cantonese and simple English.
• Possess good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Completed Secondary 3 education or above.
• Minimum of 5 years' working experience.
• At least one of the following:
• 1 year of experience in the public sector or cultural services; OR
• 2 years of relevant work experience in customer service.
