Purpose of the Role: 

My client is seeking an experienced Transport Project Manager. You will be involved in the planning , implement and manage RPS across certain areas in the city ensuring schemes are efficient, legally compliant and responsive to the needs to residents, businesses and stakeholders. The role will include scheme development, stakeholder engagement and consultation, legal and regulatory compliance, financial oversight and performance monitoring. This role will also be responsible for a few other projects that work alongside this main project which require mapping out and setting up and organisational skills to balance workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Transport Project Manager would be planning, implementing and managing RPS across various areas of the city ensuring schemes are efficient, legally compliant and responsive to the needs of the residents.
• The role will include scheme development, stakeholder engagement and consultation, legal and regulatory compliance, financial oversight and performance monitoring.
• This role will also be responsible for a few other projects that work alongside this main project which require mapping out and setting up and organisational skills to balance workloads.

• Experience in parking management, Highways, transport planning of local authority operations.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (E.g.. Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984)
• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced and accredited project and programme management such as a Prince2 or Agile or Significant Experience.
• Previous experience of having responsibility for the delivery of public sector
