Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Portsmouth. Are looking for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join their organisation.

Job Role: Stock Condition Surveyor
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: Until July 2026 (possible extension)
Number of Positions: 2 positions available
Location: Gosport – Portsmouth
Rate of Pay: £35 p/h umbrella
Office Based/Hybrid: 3 days in, 2 days from home
Short Brief/Requirement:

• Gosport own just over 3,000 housing units of varying style, build and size. It is a geographically small borough and therefore most properties are within a very short drive from the Town Hall. 
• Successful candidates will be based at the Town Hall and be part of a close knit, friendly team of surveyors and support staff.

Main duties/Responsibilities:

• To inspect and assess the condition of social housing stock, ensuring properties meet safety, compliance, and quality standards. 
• Carry out assessments such as HHSRS surveys, fire risk assessments, and DDA audits, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. 
• Ensure all surveys are conducted in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Identify and report any immediate health and safety risks during inspections.

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience working as a Stock Condition Surveyor or equivalent
•  Qualification in Building Surveying (e.g., HNC/HND/BSc) or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS, and health and safety regulations.
• Strong IT skills and experience using mobile survey devices.
