Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northwest England, are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Case Manager to join their team and play a crucial role within their Telecare operations.        

Position: Employee Relations Case Manager
Rate: £33 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (April 2026) Possible Extension  

Job Purpose: 

• Involves expert advice and case management for complex issues like disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, and TUPE, while also developing HR policies, supporting managers, liaising with unions, ensuring legal compliance, and driving positive workplace culture, often with a focus on local government specifics like pay/reward and public sector best practices

Job Duties: 

• Handle complex disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence cases, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
• Lead on HR aspects of large-scale changes like restructures, TUPE transfers, and new reward structures.
• Develop, review, and implement HR policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with employment law and council objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Experience within a Assistive Technology Business Manager role or equivalent.
• Candidate must have experience of managing complex employee relation cases ideally in a public sector setting.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
