Job Role: Procurement Officer
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date (if Temporary) April 2026
Number of Positions: 1 Position
Location: Homebased
DBS Required: Enhanced DBS Required
Rate of Pay (Umbrella and Inside IR35): £22.00ph

Short Brief/Requirement:
 35 hrs per week, Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm, Working fully remote

Main duties/Responsibilities:

• Contribute to all stages of the tender procurement process, achieved through compiling and maintaining documentation for procurement processes, advertisement preparation, contract award and ongoing management of the contracts.
• Apply professional procurement practices, informed through the latest developments and efficiencies in the field of procurement.
• Manage and maintain compliance by utilising corporate systems to produce monthly and quarterly, timely, accurate, relevant and effective reports for all managers and budget holders, showing progress and performance against compliance and spend
• Retain the central register of main contracts as well as other appropriate databases for key suppliers and main contractors. 
• Contribute and influence effective and efficient procurement practice across the organisation.
• Experience across procurement and/or supply chain management within a complex organisation
• Experience managing effective relationships with suppliers across a range of goods and services, including demonstrable negotiation skills.

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience working as a Procurement Officer or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS
• CIPS qualified (to at least Level 3) or equivalent
• Have experience working in the Third Sector or Public Sector
• Experience and understanding of formal procurement exercises 
• Proven ability to grasp new procedures quickly.
• The ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to provide advice and guidance on all procurement matters.
• Ability to develop and apply a procurement strategy
