Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Housing Strategy Project Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their Housing & Regeneration operations.  

Position: Housing Strategy Project Manager
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (August 2025) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• To develop, implement, monitor and review strategies and policies for the Housing department in support of corporate, community and regional objectives; these will be integrated, evidence based and effective and meet the authority’s statutory obligations.
• To be responsible for examining new legislation, regulations and good practice relating to the housing service, briefing senior managers and members on the implications and options for service development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading development, & performance managing delivery, of the service plan, communication plan and people plan.
• Leading the drive to improve customer service by co-ordinating the response to housing complaints/ compliments and learning lessons from customer feedback.
• Maintaining and supporting a suite of housing strategies & policies that support the Housing Service.
• Building effective partnerships with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Greater London Authority (GLA), London Councils, sub-regional partners (West London local authorities), stakeholders including residents, statutory and voluntary organisations and registered providers.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Housing Strategy Project Manager role or equivalent.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent or has the equivalent relevant work experience.
• Demonstrable experience of leading a range of projects, using appropriate project management techniques, to deliver project objectives, effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
