Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Targeted Youth Support Practitioner to join their team based in London

PAY RATE: £30 -£31 per hour

JOB SUMMARY
The Targeted Youth Support Practitioner to manage a caseload of vulnerable young people aged from 11-to-19 years old (extending up to 25 years old with special educational needs or disability).
  
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• To undertake Early Help Assessments (EHA) with vulnerable young people and their families which leads to a comprehensive understanding of the presenting needs and risks.
• To lead the coordination of Team Around Family (TAF) meetings in collaboration with young people, families and multi-agency partners
• To provide targeted interventions with vulnerable young people allocated within children’s social care in accordance with agreed areas of relevant plans (e.g. Child in Need and Child Protection). 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in youth work, youth justice, education, health, teaching, probation or social work (SWE registered).
• Extensive experience and expertise of working with vulnerable young people and their families including in the role of lead professional to deliver sustained positive outcomes
• Experience of undertaking assessments of young people using a range of working tools (e.g. Early Help Assessments).
