Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in London, are looking for an experienced Principal Private Sector Housing Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing operations. 

Position: Principal Private Sector Housing Officer
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2025) with Possible Extension 
Working Pattern: Hybrid - mix of home and office/onsite client premises

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out Enforcement functions including to enable the client to meet its statutory obligations of environmental protection, including inspection, enforcement, education and advice.
• Carry out Enforcement functions in a customer facing front line environment representing the client in often challenging circumstances in the execution of duties.
• Carry out Enforcement functions between 25% - 40% from an office base, and from between 60% to 75% from site-based visits to premises, carrying appropriate equipment.
• Represent the client as a duly authorised Officer to educate and work in partnership with relevant internal and external organisations to enhance the safety and wellbeing of the public. 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years’ experience within a Procurement Project Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Driving Licence & DVLA check along with proof of business Insurance to be provided for the worker offered.
