Job Description:
Overview:

• This requisition is for a part-time GIS analyst who is interested in contracting 10-20 hours per week primarily during business hours with the Treasurer's Office.

 
Position Summary:

• Under the direction of the Treasurer staff, this GIS Analyst is responsible for collecting and analysing and managing spatial data as part of a Geographic Information System.
• This position plays a key role in planning and coordinating GIS data collection initiatives and projects.
• This role will serve as a data and technology advocate to promote data sharing collaboration to help improve data-based decision-making.

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and maintain existing GIS data.
• Knowledge of GIS dataset schema design, views, tables and attribution.
• Prepare and deliver technical written and verbal reports in a clear and logical manner.
• Work independently and as a member of a team.
• Coordinate multiple work-streams and meet deadlines.
• Exercise judgment and initiative in analysing problems and recommending solutions.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 
Environment: ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS for Desktop, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS for Mobile, MS Visio, Microsoft 365 Services.
