Job Description:

• Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs.
• They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality and deploying the software to meet customer requirements.
• Full-stack software engineering roles, who can develop all components of software including user interface and server side also fall within this job function.
• Software Development in Mainframe technologies using "COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS DB/DC, MQ Series".
• Develops foundational knowledge of the business, business model, key processes, and priorities and applies knowledge to solutions.
• Employs/Champions Agile software processes, culture, best practices and techniques; Facilitates Agile ceremonies.
• Engineering a high quality minimum viable product iteratively.
• Prioritizing, grooming & maintaining backlog of stories for iterative engineering.
• Understands business and user priorities, and technical feasibility in order to prioritize the product backlog and manage risks.
• Operate/Monitor/Support Mainframe based products interfacing with multiple products across regions.
• Manage and align interdependencies across projects.

 
Skills Required:

• IBM DB2
• COBOL
• Mainframe Systems

 
Skills Preferred:

• Mainframe Systems

 
Experience Required:

• Engineer 2 Exp.: Practitioner: 1 coding language or framework.
• 10+ years in IT
• 5+ years in development

 
Education Required:

• Bachelor's Degree

 
Additional Information:

• Excellent Communication & Collaboration Skills
• A strong believer and experienced in AGILE ceremonies, practices, tools and experienced in interfacing teams with non-agile teams.
• Capability (demonstrated) to manage complex initiatives (integration, risks, issues etc.)
• Ability to think innovatively to identify product improvements using data and or customer feedback
• Good Business relationship management skills
• 6+ years of hands on experience in Mainframe technologies (COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS DB/DC, MQ Series) and tools (SELCOPY, SORT, BMC DB2 Tools, Fault Analyzer, Application Performance Analyzer, REXX, File Manager, Endeavor, CA7 and Debug tools).
• 3+ years practicing in AGILE ceremonies and tools.
• Basic knowledge on Manufacturing Domain.
