Project Officer – Vocation Brisbane 
 
Location: Brisbane, QLD  
Employment Type: Part-Time 15 hours 
Reports to: Nick Kelly - Manager – Vocation Brisbane 
 
Are you passionate about walking with young people in their journey of discernment? Do you thrive in a role that mixes event coordination, relationship-building, and creative promotion? Vocation Brisbane is looking for a Project Officer to support and grow our mission of inspiring vocational awareness across the Archdiocese of Brisbane. 
 
About the Role 
 
As Project Officer, you’ll coordinate events, engage young adults in discernment, and promote the mission of Vocation Brisbane through media, visits, and programs. Your work will help foster a culture of vocation by encouraging men and women to explore God’s call for their lives. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
 
Men's Discernment Coordination 

• Plan and deliver 1–2 monthly Brotherhood events 
• Coordinate venues, catering, and special events (e.g. soccer nights, seminary visits, retreats) 
• Walk alongside young men in discernment and maintain the men’s database 
• Refer interested candidates to the Canali Program 

Promotion & Engagement 

• Arrange and coordinate visits to youth groups, schools, parishes, and young adult groups 
• Organise and support programs such as the Archbishop’s Discernment Dinners, Canali Program, Quo Vadis Weekends, and Discere retreats 
• Lead our social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. 
• Collaborate with our Communications Officer to align content across platforms. 

  
About You 
 
You’re an organised and passionate team player who thrives in youth and ministry settings. You love bringing people together, planning meaningful events, and using your creativity to reach others. You’re proactive, dependable, and grounded in your Catholic faith. 
You’ll bring: 

• Strong event and project coordination skills 
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation abilities 
• Experience working with youth and/or young adults. 
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content planning 
• A heart for vocation and a commitment to serving the Church.
