Sacramental Coordinator
Location: St Thomas The Apostle, Camp Hill Parish
Employment Type: Casual
Work Schedule:
- Regular hours during school terms
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings/weekends.
- Estimated hours to be discussed with the Parish Priest (approximately 15 hours per week)
About the Role St Thomas Catholic parish in Camp Hill is seeking a committed and organised
Sacramental Coordinator to oversee and deliver our parish sacramental programs. In this pastoral and administrative role, you will guide children, families, and adults through their preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation, First Eucharist, Baptism, and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
Working alongside the Parish Priest and sacramental team, you will create a welcoming, meaningful experience for participants while managing all practical and liturgical elements of the program.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate sacramental program enrolments, communication, and recordkeeping.
- Prepare and deliver parent sessions, family workshops, and retreats.
- Organise sacramental liturgies, resources, and certificates.
- Maintain accurate records in PACS and Flocknote databases.
- Liaise with families, parish volunteers, and school staff.
- Assist with Baptism preparation and facilitate RCIA sessions.
- Support general parish administration when needed.
- Attend sacramental celebrations, some of which may occur on weekends.
What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of Catholic liturgy and an approachable, respectful presence in working with families and children. We're looking for someone with:
- Experience coordinating community, school, or parish-based programs.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and parish systems (e.g. PACS, Flocknote)
- An understanding of Catholic theology, sacraments, and parish life
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A current Blue Card and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Commitment to upholding the values and teachings of the Catholic Church
