Administration Assistant
Location: Saints Peter and Paul's Parish, Bulimba
Employment: Permanent Part-Time
Work Hours: 6 hours per week

About the Role
Saints Peter and Paul's Parish, Bulimba, is seeking a reliable and professional Administration Assistant to support the smooth and effective operation of the parish office.
Working closely with the Parish Priest and parish team, this role provides essential administrative and clerical support across a range of parish activities. The position requires discretion, organisation and a welcoming manner in all interactions with parishioners, volunteers and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering phones and greeting visitors
- Preparing parish newsletters and bulletins
- Updating parish databases (PACS/Flocknote)
- Assisting with sacramental records and certificates
- Liaising with families regarding baptisms, funerals and weddings
- Supporting volunteer coordination and parish rosters
- Maintaining parish records (electronic and hard copy)
- Assisting the Parish Priest with general administrative support
About You You will be an organised and dependable administration professional who is comfortable working in a small parish environment.
You will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Catholic parish operations
- A respectful approach aligned with the mission and values of the Church
A current Queensland Blue Card and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) will be required.
