About Us
St. Sebastian’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is a welcoming, close-knit part of the St. Sebastian’s Parish and Primary School community. We care for up to 60 children and pride ourselves on building meaningful relationships with children and families.
Our programs are fun, engaging, and high-quality, offered during before and after school care, as well as vacation care. Children at St. Sebastian’s OSHC enjoy gardening, painting, sports, cooking, role-playing, and so much more—there’s always something exciting happening!
The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Casual Educators to join our team. Reporting to the Coordinator, you will:
- Support primary school-aged children in a safe, happy, and engaging environment.
- Deliver creative, fun, and developmentally appropriate activities.
- Help foster a nurturing and supportive community where children can learn, grow, and have fun.

Job Requirements:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
- Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
