We’re seeking an
Assistant Director & Educational Leader to join our team at
Good Shepherd Childcare Service and Kindergarten.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Centre Director to inspire, guide, and support a committed team of educators. Together, you’ll drive continuous improvement and nurture a warm, inclusive environment where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years can learn, explore, and thrive.
Located in the heart of
Springfield Lakes, our service is proudly connected to the school and wider community.
What You’ll Do - Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of the service
- Champion high-quality, inclusive education and care practices
- Lead by example and mentor educators in their professional growth
- Build strong, positive relationships with families and the community
- Step confidently into leadership when the Centre Director is away
Who We’re Looking For
A positive, motivated leader who is ready to grow, inspire, and make a meaningful impact. You will have:
- A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved)
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy
- Proven experience in an educational leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- A collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach
- Current WWCC, First Aid, and CPR certifications
