Majella Early Learning Centre is a warm and welcoming 75-place service located on Maundrell Terrace, with convenient access to Gympie Road for families commuting to the CBD. Surrounded by peaceful bushland, our centre offers a serene environment where children are valued as individuals and supported to grow through strong, trusting relationships.
About the Opportunity
As our Centre Director, you’ll bring your leadership skills, sector knowledge, and passion for early learning to guide and inspire a dedicated team. You will lead day-to-day operations, strengthen our high-quality programs, and create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Our programs cater for children from 6 weeks to kindergarten, with a unique curriculum that celebrates cultural diversity, different languages, and rich learning experiences that spark curiosity and ignite a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the service, including staffing, administration, and financial management
- Lead, mentor, and empower a team of passionate educators
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, and engaging educational program
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for all children
- Work collaboratively with families and your established team to support positive outcomes
- Promote the service within the local community in alignment with Catholic Early EdCare’s Vision, Mission, and Values
What You’ll Bring - Previous experience as a Centre Director or Centre Manager
- Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (ACECQA-approved)
- Current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, and Asthma/Anaphylaxis certifications
- Strong understanding of early childhood legislation, including the NQF, NQS, EYLF, and QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
- Confident computer skills, ideally with experience using Xplor
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
