Territory Manager
Thunder Bay, ON (must live within 50 km) | Multi-Site Clinic Leadership | Regional Travel
Permanent | Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | Management (Non-Union)

Our client, an established provider of outpatient addiction treatment services across Ontario, is looking for a Territory Manager to lead a group of clinics across Northern Ontario. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to build strong, supportive clinic teams and make a real difference in patient care in communities that need it.
As Territory Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day clinic operations, develop your teams, and keep clinic performance on track using KPIs. You'll be the go-to leader for the clinic teams in your territory, handling scheduling, hiring, performance management, training and policy questions.
Open to nursing and non-healthcare backgrounds: A nursing background is an asset, but our client will also consider strong operational leaders from outside healthcare who bring multi-site people leadership and a passion for supporting others.

Location & Travel

• Candidates must live within 50 km of Thunder Bay
• Regular travel to clinics throughout the Northern Ontario territory (as often as once per week), including long-distance driving
• Office days are flexible and can be worked from a clinic or from home
• Mileage ($0.58/km), employer-booked hotels and a $50/day meal allowance are provided when travelling

What You'll Do
Operations (approx. 80%)

• Manage day-to-day operations of a group of clinics, including performance tracking and KPI reporting
• Mentor and guide clinic staff to build a culture of empowerment, respect and non-judgement for staff and patients
• Support and train new and existing staff to deliver excellent patient care, working as one team with pharmacy partners
• Oversee staff scheduling and maintain appropriate staffing levels at each clinic
• Lead hiring: submit staffing requests, review resumes, interview and facilitate offers
• Hold regular huddles at each clinic to share updates, give feedback and act on staff concerns
• Complete performance reviews and escalate high-priority issues to the Regional Manager
• Build positive working relationships with union representatives
• Ensure staff understand and follow organizational policies and health & safety requirements
• Keep clinics in good repair, approve payroll timecards (ADP) and step in to help with critical staffing gaps

Community Engagement (approx. 20%)

• Build relationships with community organizations to promote the organization's services
• Identify partnership opportunities to expand services (e.g., addiction counselling)
• Educate your team on community resources and involve them in engagement efforts

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (healthcare an asset, but not required)
• Experience managing operations across multiple sites and leading teams through change
• Comfort tracking and improving performance using KPIs and scheduling staff across sites
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ADP or similar payroll systems an asset
• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Satisfactory criminal record check (completed after an offer is accepted)

Assets

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or other medical certification
• Experience in addiction or mental health settings
• Experience working with unionized staff

Compensation & Benefits

• Nurse candidates: $70,000 - $75,000/year (some flexibility for exceptional candidates)
• Non-nurse candidates: $65,000 - $70,000/year
• Benefits package after 3 months
• Vacation time plus 10 wellness days per year (5 paid, 5 unpaid)
• 1% RRSP matching
• Continuing education credit and nursing licence reimbursement
• Mileage, hotel and meal allowances when travelling
