CNC Turret Punch Press Operator: Own Your Machine, Power the Country
The Opportunity
Some operator jobs ask you to load sheets and watch the machine. This one hands you the keys. You'll read the print, set up the turret, load the tooling, pull the program, and stand behind the quality of every part that comes off it.
The parts you cut go into custom-engineered low and medium voltage electrical equipment that keeps facilities, industries, and infrastructure running across the United States. No two jobs are exactly alike, and the work genuinely matters.
You'll be joining a manufacturer with roughly ninety years of history and sites in several states. You get the stability of an established business, and the company still moves with an agile, progressive mindset.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
This is a true ownership role. Setup, tooling, programs, scheduling, quality, and troubleshooting all sit with the operator, which builds skills that go well beyond running parts. The company is known for agility and collaboration, so people on the production floor have a direct impact on how work gets done and where the business goes next. You'll work alongside a team that values customer focus and integrity, building custom products rather than repeating the same part all day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reading blueprints and customer specifications to set up and run each job correctly
- Setting up and adjusting the CNC turret so every part is cut to specification
- Loading, unloading, and maintaining tooling to proper standards, including clearances across material gauges
- Loading material, pulling program files, and keeping the machine running smoothly
- Pulling parts and maintaining the machine's production schedule
- Owning quality control for everything that runs through your machine
- Performing routine pre and post operation checks, troubleshooting, and machine maintenance
- Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe while working as part of a team
What We're Looking For - Hands-on CNC turret punch press experience (required)
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Experience setting up and maintaining turret tooling
- Amada turret experience (preferred)
- Sheet metal experience (preferred)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
- A team player who takes pride in accurate, quality work
Compensation & Work Model Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the screening process.
