Weld steel components for armored vehicles on 1st shift in Byhalia, MS, earning $20 to $24 an hour based on your skill.
Earn $20 to $24 an hour, with stronger welders recognized from day one.
Work 1st shift and keep your evenings for yourself.
Build vehicles designed to protect the people inside them.
Most welding jobs ask you to burn wire all day without ever seeing what it turns into. This one is different. Every component you weld here becomes part of an armored vehicle, built to stand up to conditions most products never face. That is work worth taking pride in.
We are looking for experienced MIG welders who care about doing it right the first time. You will read the print, fit your parts, lay down clean welds, and check your own work before it moves down the line. If you are the welder others trust to get it to spec, you will fit right in.
Pay is tied to what you bring. With a range of $20 to $24 an hour based on skills and experience, your ability is reflected in your rate from the start, not after a long wait.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
This is not generic job shop work. You will be building armored vehicles, a product where accuracy and weld quality matter in a real way. The team runs a production environment that values quality and safety equally, so hitting your numbers never means cutting corners. You will also have room to grow beyond MIG, with exposure to spot welding, press brake operation, and other production equipment that makes you a more complete fabricator. On 1st shift, you get a steady daytime routine and your evenings back.
What You'll Be Doing
Producing strong, accurate MIG and spot welds on metal parts and components.
Turning blueprints, measurements, and work instructions into parts that match the print.
Measuring precisely to 1/32 of an inch so every part fits right the first time.
Bending and shaping metal components on press brake machines.
Preparing, positioning, and assembling parts so every weld starts from a solid fit-up.
Running production machinery and equipment as needed to keep the line moving.
Inspecting your completed welds and finished parts so only quality work leaves your station.
Catching and reporting defects in parts or welds before they become bigger problems.
Hitting daily production targets without letting workmanship slip.
Keeping a clean, organized, and safe work area and following all safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
Previous hands-on MIG welding experience, with steel experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/32 of an inch.
A sharp eye for detail and the discipline to inspect your own work.
Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Dependable, punctual, and a good teammate on the production floor.
Spot welding or production welding experience is an advantage.
Press brake and machine operation experience is a plus.
Compensation & Work Model
$20 to $24 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Work model: Onsite.
Schedule: 1st shift.
Location & Travel
Location: Byhalia, MS. This is a fully onsite role. No travel required.
